Course Abstract (including student assessment):
This 10-hour course will cover various topics on gender inequality in developed countries. It is designed to expose students to as many topics as time permits to assist them with: (A) Understanding what is currently known and still unknown about gender economics. (B) Finding interesting research topics to pursue in more detail. (C) Use real facts to win dinner table arguments with their families and friends.

In this course, we will explore recent developments in the literature concentrating on gender differences in the labor market. We will also examine variations in career choices, division of labor in the household, and stereotypes that shape labor market outcomes. The course will debate the causes of gender differences, focusing mainly on empirical and some theoretical studies in gender economics.

Teaching material- Journal articles and other assigned readings.
EvaluationEvery researcher is expected to deliver a paper presentation individually or as part of a group, depending on the number of sign-ups. This presentation will initiate a class discussion. Evaluation will be based on (A) in-class presentations and (B) participation in class discussions.
