Description

This course aims to critically examine the role and significance of critical approaches within social sciences and legal scholarship.
We will explore critical theory's foundational principles and methodologies, tracing their intellectual and political origins to understand their ongoing relevance. Emphasising normative propositions, the course will analyse how critical theories critique existing social structures and propose transformative changes.
Through seminars and discussions, researchers will engage with theoretical readings and contemporary debates to assess the impact and application of critical approaches in shaping academic discourse and societal understanding.

Assessment will be based on critical essays, presentations, and seminar participation, fostering a deep understanding of how critical theory informs both scholarly inquiry and practical implications in today's world.
