The Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) has opened a call for papers for its 17th ‘Journées des Archives’ conference, which will be held in Louvain-la-Neuve on 26-27 April 2018.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Archive the present time. Alternative archives’.
The call is for papers exploring the archiving practices where archivists document a present that they believe will not leave a big enough trace in history, such as the oral memory of emblematic members of the population who are less present in the traditional archives (testimonies of refugees, etc.). If you are interested in joining the conference, please submit a proposal before 23 October 2017.
