The European Association for Banking and Financial History (eabh), whose Board of Management includes HAEU Director Dieter Schlenker, has redesigned its website . As a new feature, all past publications can now be found here.
Eabh was founded in 1990 with the aim of promoting cooperation between banking archivists and bank historians at European level. It encourages accurate preservation of and access to historically relevant material related to past banking and financial activities in order to understand basic financial principles and ongoing developments.
Eabh deposited its archives at the HAEU in 2014. The records deposited in Florence contain 280 archival paper files that date back to the early days of eabh in 1989 and include the eabh founding history, workshop material, board meeting protocols, publication material and photographs.
You can access the archival inventory here. The eabh fonds is open and accessible for consultation at the HAEU’s premises at Villa Salviati in Florence.
