The HAEU is launching a call for proposals in the context of the 2020 edition of the Research Grant programme of the Group of the European People's Party (EPP Group) in the European Parliament.
The grant programme targets researchers interested in the history, role and impact of Christian Democracy, and in particular of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, on decisive moments in the process of European integration.
All current postgraduate students (master’s and doctoral candidates) and postdoctoral researchers who have completed a doctorate degree in the past three years preceding the date of submission of the application are eligible to apply. Applications must be sent by e-mail to the Historical Archives of the European Union at the European University Institute no later than May 25th 2020.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application before July 15th 2020. Successful applicants will receive a research grant of 5.000 € to cover all expenses.
The grant will be paid in two instalments: a first instalment of EUR 1.800 at the start of the research, as attested by the Director of the Historical Archives of the European Union;
a second instalment of EUR 3.200 after the publication of the scholarly article in an academic journal or a monography based on the research conducted.
The aim of the EPP Grant programme is to stimulate and support research in the field and to enable researchers to broaden their research by studying the primary sources held at the Historical Archives of the European Union in Florence, at the EPP Group’s archives in Brussels and/or at the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) in Sankt Augustin - Bonn.
Applications and any related documentation should be submitted to:
