The next episode of the series of web-radio talks Europe in your Living Room organized in the context of the HAEU educational programme will be broadcasted in live on Wednesday 24 March at 11:00, with former MEP Graham Watson sharing his experiences as Member of the European Parliament from 1994 to 2014.
The web-radio talk will be an occasion to learn more about his experiences and perceptions around the construction of the European Union and to discuss what it means for him to be European today, considering the implications of Brexit.
Sir Graham Robert Watson served as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 1994 to 2014, where he chaired, from 1999 to 2002, the Committee on citizens’ rights, justice and home affairs, and, from 2002 to 2004, the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party Group. From 2004 to 2009 he was head of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Group, and then served from 2011 to 2015 as President at the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party (ALDE). Finally, from 2015-2020 he was member of the European Economic and Social Committee.
Broadcasted on the EUI independent web-radio Radio Cavolo, the series of web-radio talks “Europe in your Living Room” offers the possibility for the HAEU education team to reach out to students, teachers, and all those interested in discussing issues related to Europe and European integration. It enables interaction in new and alternative ways in a new distance teaching and learning environment.
