Comparative Political Data Set
The Comparative Political Data Set (Universität Bern) provides institutional and political observations for 36 democratic countries from 1960 to 2020 (updated 2022). The database facilitates cross national, longitudinal and time series analyses. Data for Greece, Spain and Portugal cover only democratic periods.
CPDS is prepared at the Universität Bern under the direction of Prof. Klaus Armingeon. Additional demographic, social and economic variables are included for context.
The 'Supplement to the Comparative Political Data Set - Government Composition' provides data on "party composition, reshuffles, duration, reason for termination and the type of government for 36 OECD and/or EU-member countries."
