An additional language is any language not included in the permanent EUI language offer. The Centre for Academic Literacies and Languages (CALL) oversees a few additional language courses every year.
Additional courses can be organised by the CALL when required.
EUI members can also consider following courses in additional languages at the University of Florence Centro Linguistico Ateneo (CLA).
For more information about Additional Language Courses see:
For any further information, contact CALL.
As an EUI member you can follow additional language courses at the University of Florence.
EUI members pay 'facilitated fees'.

Further information about additional language courses at the EUI
- Before each new term (mid-September, mid-November, mid-March) the CALL will send an email asking if you are interested in learning an additional language.
If at least 5 people express interest within 5 days, a course will be organised.
- The CALL will put interested learners in contact with possible teachers.
Where possible, the CALL will try to find a teacher from within the EUI community.
- Please note that it is not always possible to find a teacher for every language requested.
- Once the course has been set up, the CALL will advertise it. If new participants join, the costs will be lowered correspondingly.
-
Participants must pay for additional language courses. Once the CALL has a list of participants, it will send you an email informing you of the fee and length of course.
-
Your department or unit may cover your course fees. For more information, apply directly to them.
- The greater the number of participants, the lower the cost per person.
If new participants enrol in the course, the costs will be lowered.
If you want to teach a language course, contact the CALL.
