Carbon markets are on the rise globally and represent today an annual volume of more than $800bn. In compliance markets such as the EU ETS prices today hover around €90/tCO2, creating many opportunities for low-carbon investments. Voluntary carbon markets are showing a dynamic development based on the net-zero commitments many corporations are adopting. Are carbon clubs offering new opportunities for more cooperation on carbon markets globally?The event will comprise of three sessions discussing respectively latest developments in compliance markets, how to strengthen the integrity of voluntary markets, and carbon clubs and border measures. The intention is to have a rich exchange of views, in which all participants will be offered an opportunity to intervene.
