The first edition of the European University Institute's Global Executive Master (EUI GEM) will offer an unprecedented learning experience in public policy and leadership with the promise of setting new standards in executive education. The first cohort of 30 participants will start in September 2024.
Thanks to its blended and part-time format, spanning over two years, the programme allows full-time work to be combined with professional growth and peer exchange. Residential weeks are hosted at Palazzo Buontalenti, the premises of the EUI's School of Transnational Governance (STG).
EUI GEM participants will learn from leading academics, policymakers and experts from the private sector. They will also deepen their knowledge in one of four specialisations: energy and climate; economics and finance; technology and governance; and geopolitics and security.
The EUI GEM is designed for professionals in public policy, the private sector and civil society who want to be agents of change in their organisations and fields of expertise. A Bachelor’s degree and typically seven years of work experience are requirements for the programme.
Candidates are invited to submit their applications by 31 January 2024 to benefit from the time-limited opportunity of a 10% reduction on the full tuition fee. However, applications will be open until 15 May 2024 to ensure the formation of a diverse and talented cohort.
EUI GEM participants are expected to be self-funded or funded by their employers, but-some financial help will be made available to applicants with specific profiles. For instance, the European Media and Information Fund offers four full fee-waivers. This funding scheme is reserved for mid-career professionals with a background related to disinformation, online harm, digital media and/or platforms regulation, and who are familiar with recent policy developments and EU-funded initiatives in this area.
