The documentary follows the personal stories of Mohammed, a former Salafi preacher in Morocco who was imprisoned for seven years as a terrorist; Adam, a young Egyptian trying to rebuild his life after being part of a radicalised violent group, and members of the Alevi community in Istanbul, finding their strength in faith.

The documentary was created by Donato Di Bartolomeo and Alessandro Magro at the Robert Schuman Centre for the PREVEX project. PREVEX stands for 'Preventing violent extremism in the Balkans and the MENA: strengthening resilience in enabling environments'. The project aimed to put forward refined and effective approaches to preventing violent extremism, while understanding the driving mechanisms behind it.
