EU Talks - Dialogues on the Future of Europe is a collaborative project with Ponte Europa, Europe Direct Florence and the University of Florence. The initiative was first launched in 2020, with the aim of creating a platform for student discussion, giving them the opportunity to reflect and express their ideas on current EU matters.
In its fourth edition, EU Talks 2024 coincides with the upcoming European electoral deadline in June. Thanks to the involvement of the President of the Florence City Council, participants will have the unique opportunity to interact with local democratic institutions, contributing their insights on crucial political matters.
EUI and UNIFI researchers, alongside students, will participate in three thematic roundtables addressing key aspects of the Union's development: EU values and enlargement, European citizenship and democratic participation, and European Union energy policy.
The final event of EU Talks 2024 will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 3:00 pm in the prestigious Salone dei Duecento, Palazzo Vecchio. During this event, participants from the three groups will present their findings and proposals in the presence of the public and the President of the City Council of Florence.
Join us as we contribute to the discourse on the future of Europe. EU Talks 2024 is part of the initiatives organized by the Italian network of European Documentation Centers for the European Year of Skills.
