The EUI and the EUI Library will be closed for the winter break from 23 December to 6 January (inclusive).
Researchers, Students and Fellows who had communicated their need to access a working space over the winter break have been contacted already by the Academic Service. Professors have also received a specific message about their access to the EUI campus during the winter closure.
A webpage has been put together to help you navigate what will be permitted or not in Tuscany over the break.
Concerning the closure period, we kindly remind you of the following general provisions:
For security reasons the REF Service reminds users to close the external shutters of windows before they leave for the winter break. The Institute will not provide any assistance for watering office plants, so individuals should make their own provisions accordingly.
We would also like to remind you about the importance of complying with a series of policies and procedures that are currently in place at the EUI (https://www.eui.eu/ServicesAndAdmin/LogisticsService/PoliciesandProcedures) and draw your attention to the relevant following information:
Please remember that cars and other motor vehicles must be registered and may be left in the EUI car parks only while the owners are present at the Institute: any vehicle left in the EUI Car Parks without authorization/not registered will be notified and, if no action is taken, removal will be enforced.
If you plan to leave Florence or the EUI for the winter break and for a period not exceeding 90 days, you can apply for the long-term parking procedure (long-term parking requests for cars, motorbikes and bikes).
Further info is available here.
The ICT Service would like to inform users that during the closure all systems will continue to be monitored. The webmail service is reachable from this link: http://portal.office365.com
Please note: We ask for your collaboration to promptly communicate cyber threats and we remind you of the following:
- EUI does not ask your password and does not ask to validate your account;
- In case of phishing, just forward the email to [email protected];
- Send an email to [email protected] in case of major issues concerning hacking activities during the EUI closure.
You may find additional information on the Information Security website.
Multi-function printers will be monitored remotely and technicians will intervene when necessary.
- URGENT MATTERS AND EMERGENCIES
