Under the auspices of the Swiss Chair, the EUI-IHEID PhD workshop was inaugurated in the academic year 2023-24, marking the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the two prestigious institutions.
Each academic year, six PhD students from the European University Institute (EUI) and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) come together for a two-day workshop. These workshops are held biannually, with the autumn session in Geneva and the spring session in Florence.
The Geneva workshop is designed for early-stage PhD students, providing an opportunity for those in their first year to engage and receive feedback. In contrast, the Florence workshop is tailored for more advanced researchers, facilitating deeper academic exchanges and collaborations.
The primary goals of these workshops are to gather external feedback on ongoing research and to foster connections and potential collaborations among PhD researchers from both institutions.
