This initiative aims to research and teach about the effects of artificial intelligence on democracy and the possibilities that all the technological infrastructure linked to digitalisation offer for improving democratic systems. The team acts as a prime convener of expertise about the interplay of artificial intelligence and democratic systems and disseminates the findings of its policy-oriented research to communities of experts as well as the general public in Europe and beyond.
The group is in charge of teaching a seminar in the Master's programme of the School of Transnational Governance and organising European Training Seminars and High-Level Policy Dialogues on the subject.
