• Coordinates teaching/supervision activities in close consultation with the departments.

• Is a reference point for doctoral researchers for all problems related to their studies in coordination with the Directors of Studies in the departments.

• Liaises with the departments for all academic matters related to teaching and supervision.

• Chairs the Entrance Board and the Doctoral Programme Committee.

• Drafts an annual report on doctoral studies at the EUI that includes an appropriate set of indicators.

• Addresses issues of Specific Educational Needs of Researchers.
