The Alcide De Gasperi Research Centre (ADG) invites early career researchers to submit proposals to present their research in its seminar ‘History of European Cooperation and Integration’. The call is for presentations during the first term of the 2023-24 academic year, from September to December.
The ADG welcomes paper proposals from PhD and early career researchers on any aspect of European cooperation and integration, broadly conceived, twentieth century to the present. Papers that make use of newly available primary sources at the Historical Archives of the European Union, and innovative methodologies, are particularly welcome.
The ADG seminar is an ideal setting for the presentation of work-in-progress. Scholars selected to present will be asked to submit a short paper in advance (5000 words) a week before their presentation, for circulation among the participants. The selected speaker will deliver a 15–20-minute presentation of their paper, which will be followed by comments from a discussant and a broader discussion among all participants.
The ADG seminars are organised in hybrid mode (in presence at the EUI and on Zoom) in order to facilitate both on-campus and remote participation and are open to anyone after registration. Information and registration information is announced regularly on the EUI’s events calendar, as well as on the Alcide de Gasperi website.
Applicants should send a brief, 500 words abstract of their proposal, and a short CV by to [email protected] by 15 May 2023.
The Alcide De Gasperi Research Centre may cover the travel and accommodation costs of selected participants.
