The 2024 call for applications for the European Court of Auditors (ECA) Postgraduate Research Grant is now open.
The ECA research grants support early career academics with an interest in the history of European Union public finance or European Union policy, broadly defined. The grants facilitate consultation of the holdings of the Historical Archives of the European Union, where the archives of the Court of Auditors and its predecessor, the Audit Board, are deposited.
The grant programme, now in its eighteenth year, is open to postgraduate students and early-career academics from a range of disciplines, including law, political science, economics, sociology, public administration and history. In the past, the programme has supported original research on topics such as EU development policy, funding priorities in environmental initiatives, the development of audit methodology, EU regional policy, and more.
Up to two research grants of €5000 each will be awarded in 2024.
Complete information on eligibility requirements and the grant conditions may be found here.
The deadline to apply is 7 October 2024.
