Pre-SOU Conversations on the Future of Europe is a series of conversations happening between March and April leading up to the State of the Union which will be held in Florence, Italy between 5-7 May, 2022. The aim of these conversations is to gather fresh insights, perspectives and thoughts from young people on the Future of Europe.
These conversations are inspired by Professor Kalypso Nicolaïdis, the keynote speaker on this year's EUI State of the Union lecture on the topic 'A Europe fit for the next generation.' She strongly believes that the best people to answer this question are young people themselves who will be a part of this said future. These conversations present the opportunity for everyone within and outside of the EUI to feed your ideas and disciplinary perspectives into an important conversation on Europe’s future.
What do you think best represents the next generation? Is it possible to advocate for their collective interests without approaching them as a monolith? Do you have any creative ideas on how we can best capture their worries, hopes and impressions on the present and future to come? Do join us and have your say!
