"Black Realities: Confronting Racism in Europe” is an exhibition that sheds light on the stark realities of the lived experience of Afro-descendants in Europe.
It combines statistical information with key concepts and testimonies, mostly from Black European scholars. These quotations are first-person narratives that give meaning to disembodied data and figures.
“To account for racism is to offer a different account of the world”, wrote Sara Ahmed (2012). This exhibition lays the basis for reflection and for breaking the silence safeguarding the status quo.
