Funding Information
Eligibility
To qualify for national funding, you must meet the specific requirements set by the national funding authorities. These may include conditions with regard to your nationality, residence, degree and the time of the award. For an overview of the specific funding conditions, eligibility criteria and application instructions, please visit the information page of each relevant funding authority.
In the EUI online application form, you will be asked to select at least one and up to three funding options: Only indicate those for which you have a valid reason to believe you are eligible and for which you wish to apply. If you are eligible for more than one funding programme, you will be considered for admission under each programme; in case of admission, you will receive funding from one programme only, based on the decision taken by the EUI selection committee and communicated to you on the admission offer.
The application for admission to the EUI doctoral programme is automatically an application for national funding, with the following exceptions: Greece, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain. If you apply for funding from one of these countries, your application to the EUI can ONLY be accepted if you separately file a mandatory separate application.
