Logical Drives on EUI PCs

 

This documents lists and describes logical drive letters available to Researchers upon login ti EUI desktop computers:

 

 

 

Common Logical Drives

C: System area of local hard disk

D: Drive letter assigned to removable USB devices

E: Drive letter assigned to removable USB devices

F: Drive letter assigned to removable USB devices

K: Micro Data Repository

N: Refers to system areas of the server, inaccessible for personal use

Q: DVD-RW drive

W: Area reserved solely for data related to your personal WebPage (only availbale to new cohorts prior to Academic Year 2016-'17)

  • Default size = 40 Mbyte
  • Personal area protected towards privacy
  • Regular Backup

 

ECO Researchers

G: Your personal area on the ECOSRV1 server

H: Common area on the VSPSRV1 server, available to all users for file exchange:

  • Default size = 10GB (shared with G: drive)
  • NO Backup (no restore operations available)
  • Common area (shared by all users with full read/write permissions)
  • Repository for documents scanned via MultiFunction Printers (scanned documents will be placed in the _ScannedDocs sub-folder)

 

LAW, HEC, SPS Researchers

G: Your personal area on the RESSRV1 server:

H: Common area on the RESSRV1 server, available to all users for file exchange:

  • Default size = 10GB (shared with G: drive)
  • NO Backup (no restore operations available)
  • Common area (shared by all users with full read/write permissions)
  • Repository for documents scanned via MultiFunction Printers (scanned documents will be placed in the _ScannedDocs sub-folder)
