Short-term Visitor Accounts
Not to be misinterpreted with a formally nominated Visiting (Fellow, Professor or Researcher) status, visitors to the Institute for more than a week but less than a month (4 weeks) qualify for an EUI Short-term Visitor account.
These accounts differ from the standard EUI computing accounts by the following:
- No EUI email address
- No access to Library resources from off-campus
- Limited printing rights (max 400 pages of Print Quota)
With the policying of the computing
accounts for externals and the introduction of the Identity Access Management (IAM) portal,
short-term visitor accounts have been uniformed to external collaborator accounts without the right to an email address.
Short-term Visitor accounts should be requested by Departmental / Administrative Coordinators via IAM portal (making sure to select "Short Term Visitor" from the Company field) at least 2 working days before the arrival of the visitor.
If the visitor needs solely access to the Library, you should consider to request a
Library External User account (LGR) through the Library.
Please check Account for Externals for any further information.
