EUI personal Computing Accounts are given to individuals to allow access to, among other services and facilities:
Please note the services and facilities offered depend on the type of affiliation with the Institute.
All ICT facilities, including those listed above (except EUI email), require you to provide your EUI username (e.g. jsmith) and password [1].
To access your EUI email via Outlook Web App (OWA) you should use the full email address (e.g. [email protected]) and password to log in.
To qualify for an EUI computing account you must be one of the following:
- Researcher
- Fellow
- Master Programme Student (such as of the School of Transnational Governance)
- other Student (such as of the Academy of Law Summer School, Executive Training Programme, etc.)
- Academic Staff
- Administrative Staff
- Visitor (for at least 4 weeks [2])
- External Collaborator
- Contractor
If you just want to access the EUI Library but are not affiliated to the EUI, please contact the Library.
The relevant contact in your Unit will issue a formal request [3] to set up an account on your behalf.
Please refrain from directly contacting ICT Service and/or EUI Helpdesk to request the creation of a computing account!
Once an account has been created, the details (including login name, temporary password and EUI email address) will be sent to you automatically via email or given to you in the form of an Account Information Sheet upon arrival at the EUI:
Once the Account Information Sheet has been issued to you, follow instructions for your First Login to change password and activate your account and Multi-Factor-Authentication.
Computing accounts are renewed automatically on the basis of EUI status information provided by Academic Service, Human Resources or relevant Units.
Any Print Quotas will be checked and recalculated according to Printing Policy.
Please refrain from directly contacting ICT Service and/or EUI Helpdesk to request the renewal of a computing account!
= Depending on the Operating system you are using, some resources (like VPN, EUI-WiFi, Personal, Web and Shared Areas, Network Printers) may require you to specify the Institute's network domain, IUEDOM.
Whenever requested, this should be written and/or chosen in the "Domain" field. If no such field is available, the username should be written in the following format:
iuedom\your_EUI_username
= If you do not qualify for an EUI personal computing account then your Unit's coordinator can arrange a Guest Account for you.
= Note that the ICT Service is only authorised to set up and/or renew an account when it receives a formal request from Academic Service, Human Resources or the relavant Unit, so please do not contact ICT Service nor EUI Helpdesk directly regarding account creation, extension or renewal.
